Driving to David and Ev’s house after our rather long ten hour flight was a welcome sign of things to come. Driving on the wrong sign of the road, funny little cars, green fields of sheep, and skinny roads with old growth on either side; all signs that our transition to observant travelers had begun. Our first destination was Godalming, the first of many small old English towns. Today we set our sights on Arundel castle which was both imposing and beautiful at the same time. Next we visited Bosham which is noteworthy not only for its drastic tide changes which have been known to swallow cars, but also for being just what you wanted to see from a small English town. We finished our day off with the Chichester Cathedral which, built in the 11th Century, still towers above the town around it. Thank you David and Ev, these two days have been great. We can’t imagine the amazing things that lie ahead in the next 152 days.
